The general coordinator for the Menucha gathering in 2009 is Raphael Tedrow Raphael.Tedrow@gmail.com The dates for Menucha in 2009 are Thurs. Nov. 12 through Sunday Nov. 15.
Just a half-hour east of Portland Oregon, Menucha is a 100 acre wooded estate overlooking the Columbia River Gorge. It offers wonderful family style meals and a variety of housing options. The main lodge has a large hall overlooked by a second floor balcony. It features a magnificent wood burning fireplace and hardwood floors. Subud members from the northwest and around the world will gather for latihan, renew old acquaintances, foster new relationships, share ideas, and roll up the carpet to dance. Additionally, our very talented brothers and sisters will provide music, poetry readings, and other entertainment on Saturday night. The balcony area hosts a boutique where Subud artists can display their wares. The Menucha site also offers plenty of space to hold workshops, large or small latihans and testing, along with special areas to sit and visit or take hikes in the adjacent woods. Please join us for this special warm and wonderful gathering. This is our region's primary kejiwaan gathering and we encourage everyone to come. As a group, we all need the larger latihans, and the support of our larger Subud community, to grow and develop. Everyone can participate in both the larger community of the gathering and the smaller groups that develop for testing or for sharing common interests. ![]() Wright Hall at Menucha |
